Summer Reading @ Riverdale Public Library!

Join the Summer Reading Program at Riverdale Public Library!  
 
The Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 22 and ends Friday August 7.  This year's theme is Unmask!  
 
To participate, come to the library, fill out a registration card, and pick up a raffle ticket.  You can also download a raffle ticket here.
 
When you finish reading a book or listening to an audiobook, fill out the information on the on the raffle ticket write a short review.  
Drop it off at the library and become automatically entered in a weekly raffle!  You'll also get a free book to keep and a free coupon for pizza or ice cream!
At the end of the summer, we'll draw one winner for the grand prize!
Registration begins Monday, June 22.  Sign up in the library.  

Summer Programs for Teens & Tweens

Registration is required for all programs.  Register in person or by phone at 973-835-5044.
 
3-D Comics
Thurs. July 9
7-8 p.m.
Entering grades 4-6
Are you a fan of graphic novels and manga?  Do you love to draw?  Learn how to create your very own 3-D comic book--3-D glasses provided!
 
 
MASK-ERADE
Thurs. July 30 (PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE)
5-6 p.m.
Entering grades 6+
Design an awesome mask to create your super-secret identity and origin story!
 
 
Summer Movie Night:  "Insurgent"

Enjoy popcorn and part two of the Divergent trilogy on our big screen.  Plus, enter a raffle to win a copy of the book, Allegiant!  (Rated PG-13, 119 min.)

Camp Half-Blood

Entering grades 4-6
Are you a half-blood, descended from the great Greek gods?  Prepare to go on a quest like Percy Jackson and test your knowledge of all things mythological!  
 
 
Teen Volunteer Program
If you are interested in volunteering this summer, contact Miss Lara at the library.  Volunteers must be entering grades 6+ in September.  Space is limited.  
 
 
College Essay Writing Workshop

Grades 6+
Prepare for higher education with this one-on-one workshop taught by experienced teacher and college coach, Linda Presto.  Space is limited.
