Pregnant Pause By Han Nolan

This book is really good because the characters in it seem very real. In the story, 16 year old Eleanor Crowe finds out that she is pregnant, and then is forced to marry her 18 year old boyfriend. Although the plot seems a little scandalous, the book is actually quite wholesome, because for the duration of the book, Eleanor works as a counselor at a kid's camp called Weight Away, for overweight children. There she learns a lot about how to be a responsible person, how to make true friends, and how to forgive herself. I won't give away the ending, but it is definitely a surprising twist! I would recommend this book for mature readers ages 15 and up.

Wuthering Heights By Emily Bronte

I was assigned to read this book for Honors English, and I thought I would not like it, but it was actually interesting. The story takes place in 19th century England on the moors. The main characters, Catherine and Heathcliff, are very complicated characters, which is what makes the book catch one's attention. The story is of the gothic-romance genre, so the unfortunate love between the two main characters is prevelent throughout the book. But just because this book was written 150 years ago doesn't mean that it's too boring - there are some ghosts in the story!

The sequel to InkHeart is great. Mo finds his wife and his daughter can read just like him. Dustfinger finds his way back into his story and Farid, heart broken, does everything in his power to get back there and Maggie tags along for the ride. Mo and his wife want their daughter back. In InkHeart, the King of Sighs is sad because his son is dead and he eventually dies. Who will take of Ombra? This book is an okay read, but the book before and after are much more of a thrill.

This book is great because of its historical and "chick-flicky" sides. On the historical is lots of girls(proper ladies) who live in the 1800's. On the "chick-flicky" side there is romance and jealousy between family, friends, and employees. Who will end up the rich man and who will end up with the poor servant boy. This book is a perfect balance and I suggest it for any and all teens.

I read the book "Bound". Bound is a Chinese version of Cinderella. Xing Xing, the main character is treated very poorly by her Step-Mother and her Step-Sister.
